![]() Someone clearly did something like that to my package of Glamoflauge I bought around October of last year because I did not get that cute little concealer pencil that came with it. SPEAKING of the test tube baby, mouth breathing kind of Wal Mart shoppers. BUT if your smart (or flippin RUDE) you can just break the seal off a product, swatch it, and then grab the last effin un opened version of that item and leave. And I have had my share of buying that kind of stuff getting it home and HATING it. Not because I’m some kind of snob on the subject but because at places like that it is pretty much impossible to swatch or look at any of the things you might be interested in trying. ![]() TO BE HONEST…I am hardly ever in a hurry to buy drug store or Wal-Mart makeup. Not gonna lie I was NOT in a hurry to buy ANYTHING from the line. There are some that say Hard Candy went belly up and bankrupt so they HAD to sell to Wal-Mart and there are others that say it was bought by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy in 1999 for an un-disclosed amount and THEN sold to Falic Fashion Group who then announced a partnership with Wal-Mart in 2009. I googled hard candy and its affiliation with Wal-Mart and couldn’t find TOO much on the subject and what I did find was kinda conflicting. And I also remember in the mid nineties (95-97ish) seeing promos of the company’s nail polish line allll over TV and it was always listed in “Seventeen” and “Teen” magazine (which of course I was reading when I was 11) with a pretty large price tag attached to it. I remember when Hard Candy was considered a more high-end brand that you could buy at Sephora. Let me start by saying the first time I was wandering around Wal-Mart and saw Hard Candy in the cosmetics section I was sort of confused. BUT for those things you DO want to hide (dark circles, blemishes, skin discoloration etc etc) I highly suggest you give Hard Candy Glamoflauge heavy-duty concealer a whirl! Our personalities, our fierce new legs earned from months of spinning class, our awesome relationship with a new LUV-AH…the list goes on and one. If you don't use powder, it might look a bit unnatural in bright light and will rub off gradually.I think we can all agree there are certain things we do NOT want to hide. Works best if you let it dry between coats and don't over-apply powder. After patting it on under my eyes (very dark circles) and over blemishes, I pat on a light amount of L'oreal truematch powder (lightest shade) on top and it lasts six hours or more. I just put some (a thin layer) in a small jar and leave the lid off a few minutes to thicken it. My concealer gets runny near the opening of the tube for some reason. The only thing I don't like about this concealer is that it can be difficult to get it to dry. The coverage is heavy, but you may have to apply another coat after it dries to reach full coverage for tattoos and very dark circles. The pencil is easy to apply and covers as well as the one in the tube. The pencil with this concealer doesn't come in ultra light, just light, and is too dark to use( shade light is a light tan color, ultra light is for those who have no tan). My skin is as pale as a living person's skin can be and ultra light matches it well. The shade I use is ultra light, which is the lightest and hardest to find. ![]() Way to go Hard Candy! You nailed this one!Ĭomes in four shades, not three. the outline pencil is also great for outlining after you fill in eyebrows or also outlining if you do a bold, red, or dark colored lip as a reverse lip liner. ![]() ![]() It can also be used to cover tattoos as it comes with an outline pencil. I would not trade this for anything and the shades it comes in are very versatile. This is by far my go to holy grail concealer and I have never had anything else like it. If you mix this with a moisturizer it will thin it and you can apply all over your face for great coverage and all of the benefits that you would get by using the moisturizer. This concealer can also be used as a foundation, I use it as one when I am having a very bad breakout week. With this hard candy concealer, a little goes a very very VERY long way. I prefer a concealer with full coverage because of my acne scarring. This is the best concealer I have ever used. ![]()
